History of Nomad
Nomad is a Dutch outdoor brand founded in 1978. Nomad began with the design and manufacture of sleeping bags using the very first hollow-fibre materials, then called Polydaun. With the expansion of the tourism and camping sector in the 1970s, Nomad began making other travel products. Sleeping mats, tents, backpacks and outdoor clothing were added to the range. Over time, Nomad developed more expertise in the area of product use in the toughest travel conditions. Nomad products were used on trips to the hottest climates in Africa until the first Dutch expedition to the North Pole on foot in 1997.
