History of Viking skates
.It all started in 1948, when skating fanatic Jacob Havekotte started making his well-known leather blades with gold piping. From that moment on Viking has rapidly grown into an authentic world brand. The original Dutch skates for recreation and top sport are still made by hand, one by one.
The brand has a number of pioneering innovations to its name: the invention of the first 'removable' and adjustable skate, the use of carbon and thermoplastic materials, the application of PM blade steel, and last but not least: the clap skate! Viking has been an innovator in skating products for over 70 years and has by far the most records and Olympic successes to its name worldwide.
