Burton has always been committed to snowboarding. From advocating for the opening of the slopes to snowboarders in the 1980s, to devising programmes to keep learning snowboarders really interested in snowboarding. By growing the sport in the area of competitions with the US Open for example, Burton has become an indispensable part of snowboarding.
With their latest innovation, Step On, they turned the snowboard world upside down again. This entry system with boots and bindings is simple and fast and makes boarding easy.
History of Burton
Burton Snowboards was born in Vermont, USA. Jake Burton took the design of the Snurfer and made some adjustments. This became the basis for what snowboarding is today. Burton became the leading brand in the history of snowboarding. They have always been a snowboard company and they are proud of it. Not a ski in this company.
In November 2019, Jake Burton passed away from a long-running illness. But the company continues unabated in its commitment to the snowboarding community. "For snowboarders, by snowboarders."
